  • BANKING IN ENGLISH
    Date Posted : 17-Feb-2004

    Internet bank in English

The board members of SONI are excited to announce that Íslandsbanki has started Internet banking in English. Some of our board members have tried this facility and find it wonderful. Gone are the days when we hope we are clicking the right button on the bank home page

Now, those of us who's Icelandic is poor or non-existent can enjoy the freedom to use banking facilities on the net. This service was initiated specifically for "New Icelanders" There are all the usual banking facilities such as such as, GSM refills, bill payments, account and credit card statements, domestic money transfers and most interesting for our members, international money transfers, which many of our members will find useful.

At the upcoming exhibition in the City Hall on the 21st and 22nd of February (see front page of this newsletter) we will be explaining this banking system.

If you have any questions please contact our board members Pauline or Elaine (contact details on committee page) or contact Islandsbanki directly by email (isb@isb.is) or check the company website at www.isb.is.
